Read the Fine Print — Don’t Miss the Discounts

University LawnA week ago we visited my oldest daughter in the city where she attends university.  Of course, there were several day trips and restaurant meals.  For one late breakfast she suggested one of the student favorites near the campus.  Big plates of waffles, omelets, and sandwiches cost about $70 for our group.  Only on the way out did I see the sign, the “fine print” on the bulletin board.  Students who show their university ID card get 10% off their bill.  If I had just read that on the way in I could have slipped some cash to the kid and had our student save us over $6.  So there’s the moral: look and ask for discounts before you pay the bill.
